Recently I wrote about a wall of one the rooms at the blind town chief’s palace had fallen down making the room unsafe and unusable. Through the grace of God and the generous gifts of our supporters we were able to rebuild the wall and the roof. The building is far from a palace as we would think of one, but it now usable by the people and serves as a witness to them of the true God.
The people of this community are Muslim. Many Christians in Nigeria believe that Muslims hate Christians. I believe this is a generalization and that not all Muslims hate the Christians. However, work of compassion that City Ministries is able to do among the Muslims serves as a witness to both the Muslims and the Christians. For the Christians it demonstrates that Christians can reach out to their supposed enemy and do good. And for the Muslims it shows that Christians do care about them and it shows them the love of Christ.
We praise God that he has allowed us to serve him and that he is working among these people. Please pray that God would continue to show himself to these people even though they are physically blind.
Below are before and after pictures of the project.
