We arrived in the US on Tuesday night after nearly a year and half in Nigeria. On Thursday I went to the supermarket to buy some milk and a few things for breakfast. I was not prepared for that experience. To walk into a US supermarket after living in Africa is a shock to say the least. It was all I could do to not buy everything I saw, or to stand in awe of all of the stuff available. I had to get out of there as soon as possible before I went crazy. America is the land of plenty and quite overwhelming for those visiting from developing countries.
